House System

Building teamwork, leadership, responsibility and healthy competition through four student houses.

Learning, Leadership and Teamwork

Sherwood Convent School is a community of learners. The House System gives students regular opportunities to participate, collaborate and develop confidence beyond the classroom.

Every student is allotted one of four houses at the time of joining the school:

  • Encounter
  • Endurance
  • Endeavour
  • Enterprise

Each house is assigned responsibilities on a weekly basis, including supporting school discipline, news reading and organising programmes connected with national, cultural and religious occasions. Inter-house activities form an important part of the school calendar and encourage participation, cooperation and a positive competitive spirit.
